As you walk along Sokoa harbour,
if you fancy a hake or squids,
open the doors of the Kaiatxu,
a Basque restaurant owned by
lovely ladies. These daughters and
granddaughters of fishermen will
offer you fresh fish which won’t
have time to get in touch with ice !
According to the season, they will
serve you devilfish or wild turbot,
cooked with olive oil and Espelette
chilli pepper.
